Nicosia, das deutsche Kultur – und
Sprachzentrum
Das
Goethe – Zentrum Nicosia, ein gemeinnuetziger Verein, ist die
direkte
Nachfolgeorganisation
des Goethe – Institut Nicosia.
Es befindet sich in dem selben
schoenen
Gebaeude wie zuvor das Goethe – Institut, direkt neben dem
frueheren
Ledra
Palace
Hotel. Durch einen
Kooperationsvertrag ist es Partner des Goethe – Instituts
in
Muenchen,
der Zentrale aller Goethe – Institute weltweit, und folgt dessen
Richtlinien sowohl
auf
kulturellem Gebiet als auch in der Spracharbeit. Das Goethe –
Zentrum verbindet
ausserdem
eine enge Zusammenarbeit
mit dem Goethe – Institut in Athen. Es wird darueber
hinaus
von der Deutschen Botschaft in Nicosia unterstuetzt, dessen
Botschafter
Vorstandsmitglied
ist.
Die
Finanzierung des Goethe – Zentrums basiert auf den Kursgebuehren
fuer die
Sprachkurse,
einer Zuwendung des Auswaertigen Amtes, Unterstuetzung von Seiten
des
Ministeriums
fuer Erziehung und Kultur in Zypern und Spenden von Sponsoren in
Zypern und
Deutschland.

Das
ganze Jahr ueber organisiert das Goethe-Zentrum
Kulturveranstaltungen, bei denen der Interkulturelle
Dialog
zwischen Zypern und Deutschland im Mittelpunkt steht. Aus diesem
Grund werden konzerte,
Ausstellungen,
Vortraege, Seminare und Filmtage in enger Zusammenarbeit mit
zyprischen Kulturpartnern
wie
z.B dem zyprischen Bildungsministerium, der Kulturabteilung der
Stadt Nikosia, dem Staatstheater
THOK
und zahlreichen zyprischen Kuenstlern durchgefuehrt. Aber auch die
Vertiefung der Kulturellen
Beziehungen
zwischen den verschiedenen europaeischen Laendern ist dem
Goethe-Zentrum ein Anliegen.
Dies
drueckt sich aus in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Franzoesischen
Kulturzentrum, dem British Council
und
anderen europaeischen Kulturtraegern.
Sprachkurse
Das
Goethe – Zentrum Nicosia bietet deutsche Sprachkurse fuer alle
Stufen und
Altersgruppen.
Die Grundstufe kann schon von Kindern ab 10 Jahren besucht werden.
Fuer
Jugendliche
und Erwachsene werden andere Lehrwerke eingesetzt. Die Kurse reichen
bis zur
Mittel
– und Oberstufe und finden normalerweise zwei Mal woechentlich von
Ende September
bis
Ende Mai statt.
Fuer
Kinder unter 10 Jahren, deren Eltern sich die Tatsache zunutze
machen wollen, dass
Kinder
eine Fremdsprache um vieles leichter erlernen als aeltere Menschen,
hat das Goethe - Zentrum
“Fruehes
Fremdsprachenlernen” im Angebot. Eine Lehrerin mit
Spezialausbildung
fuer
den Unterricht mit kleinen Kindern leitet diese Kurse, in denen Spiele und
Lieder
eingesetzt
werden und in denen keinerlei Druck auf die Kleinen ausgeuebt wird.
Es gibt
getrennte
Gruppen fuer die 4 bis 6-Jaehrigen und die 7 bis
9-Jaehrigen.
Bilinguale
Kinder, die zu Hause Deutsch sprechen, koennen im Goethe – Zentrum
Lesen und
Schreiben
lernen und ganz allgemein ihre Kenntnisse der deutschen Sprache
vertiefen.
Vorschulkinder
koennen den deutschsprachigen Kindergarten besuchen, der einmal
pro
Woche
stattfindet.
Weitere
Klassen, auf die individuellen Beduerfnisse der Kursteilnehmer
zugeschnitten, sind
Vorbereitungskurse
auf die O – und A – Level – Pruefung in Deutsch, Wirtschaftsdeutsch
und
Deutsch
fuer den Tourismus. Das Goethe – Zentrum vermittelt auch
Privatunterricht.
Sommerkurse
Fuer
diejenigen, die waehrend des normalen Kursjahrs keine Zeit haben
oder einfach
schneller
vorankommen moechten, bietet das Goethe – Zentrum Intensivkurse
waehrend der
Sommermonate
in kuehlen, klimatisierten Klassenzimmern in einer ruhigen,
angenehmen
Umgebung.
Auch eine Sommerschule fuer die kleineren bilingualen Kinder findet
bei
entsprechender
Nachfrage statt.
Einschreibung
Die
Einschreibungen fuer das Ende September beginnende neue
Kursjahr finden
jeweils
Ende
Juni/Anfang Juli und
die ersten zwei Wochen im September statt. Informationen zu

Lehrkraefte
Die
Deutschlehrer, die am Goethe – Zentrum unterrichten, sind
hochqualifiziert und halten
sich
durch regelmaessige Fortbildungsveranstaltungen in Deutschland und
Zypern ueber alle
Neuerungen
auf dem Gebiet Deutsch als Fremdsprache auf dem
Laufenden.
Pruefungen
Duerch
den Kooperationsvertrag mit dem Goethe – Institut in Muenchen
erhielt das Goethe –
Zentrum
Nicosia die Lizenz fuer fast alle Zentralen Pruefungen des Goethe –
Instituts und ist
somit
das einzige Pruefungszentrum in Zypern: Fuer die Grundstufe Start
Deutsch 1, Start
Deutsch
2, und Zertifikat Deutsch, fuer die Mittelstufe die Zentrale
Mittelstufenpruefung, fuer
die
Oberstufe die Zentrale Oberstufenpruefung und das Kleine Deutsche
Sprachdiplom und
sogar
das Grosse Deutsche Sprachdiplom, die Pruefung auf hoechstmoeglichem
Niveau, die
weltweit
als Nachweis einer Beherrschung der deutschen Sprache auf
fast
muttersprachlichem
Niveau anerkannt wird.
Seit
August 2001 ist das Goethe – Zentrum auch lizenziertes
Pruefungszentrum fuer
TestDaF,
der Pruefung zum Nachweis ausreichender Deutschkenntnisse fuer
ein
Universitaetsstudium
in Deutschland. Der Vorteil dieser Pruefung im Gegensatz
zur
traditionellen
DSH – Pruefung besteht darin, dass sie im Heimatland rechtzeitig
vor
Studienbeginn
abgelegt werden kann. Eine betraechtliche Anzahl Deutschlernender
hat diese
Pruefung
bereits in Zypern abgelegt, ueberwiegend mit ausgezeichnetem
Ergebnis.
Deutsch
– eine wichtige europaeische Sprache
Deutsch,
eine der Arbeitssprachen der Europaeischen Union, ist eine sehr
wichtige
europaeische
Sprache, die von 100 Millionen Europaeern als Muttersprache und
von
weiteren
145 Millionen, hauptsaechlich in Osteuropa, als Fremdsprache
gesprochen wird.
Wer
in Zypern Deutsch spricht, hat auch bessere berufliche
Moeglichkeiten, da zwischen
Zypern
und Deutschland enge wirtschaftliche Verbindungen bestehen. Auch im
Tourismus
spielt
Deutsch eine Rolle: Deutsche Touristen nehmen in Zypern
zahlenmaessig den zweiten
Platz
nach den Briten
ein.
Studium
in Deutschland
Das
Studium in Deutschland an einer der zahlreichen Universitaeten mit
hohem Standard,
viele
von ihnen mit jahrhundertelanger Tradition, ist gebuehrenfrei. In
den letzten Jahren
wurden
neue, attraktive internationale Studiengaenge in zahlreichen
Bereichen hinzugefuegt,
in
denen zu Beginn Englisch als Unterrichtssprache benutzt wird. Sie

oder Master Degree abgeschlossen werden.

Leseecke
und Videoclub
In
der neu eingerichteten Leseecke, die sich im Veranstaltungssaal
befindet, koennen Sie die
neuesten
Ausgaben einiger grosser deutscher Zeitungen und Zeitschriften
durchblaettern.
Der
Videoclub bietet neueste deutsche Spielfilme, Kinderfilme und
Dokumentarfilme zu
zahlreichen
Themen, einige davon mit englischen Untertiteln.

Goethe

Language
Centre
The
Goethe – Zentrum Nicosia is the direct successor of the Goethe –
Institut Nicosia. It
functions
on a non – profit basis at the same beautiful premises as the Goethe
– Institut, next
to
the old Ledra Palace Hotel. Due to a contract of cooperation, it is
a close partner of the
Goethe
– Institut in Munich
(the Headquarter of all the Goethe – Institutes
worldwide),
following
its guidelines in the cultural as well as in the language
department. The Goethe –
Zentrum
also closely cooperates with the Goethe – Institut in
Athens
and is backed by the
German
Embassy, the German Ambassador being a member of its Board of
Directors.
The
financing of the Goethe – Zentrum is based on enrolment fees of its
students,
contributions
from the German Foreign Office, the Cypriot Ministry of Education
and Culture,
and
donations from sponsors in
Cyprus
and Germany.

Events
Throughout the year, the
Goethe-Zentrum Nicosia organizes cultural events whose
main
emphasis lies on
intercultural dialogue between
Cyprus and
Germany. For this reason, it
carries
out concerts, lectures,
seminars and film festivals in close cooperation with Cypriot
partners
working in the cultural
field, such as the Ministry of Education and Culture, the
cultural
department of
Nicosia
Municipality, the Cypriot State
Theatre and numerous Cypriot artists.
In
addition, the deepening
of the cultural relations between the different European countries
is of
particular importance to
the Goethe-Zentrum. It therefore cooperates with the French
Cultural
Centre, the British
Council and other European institutions.
Language
courses
The
Goethe – Zentrum Nicosia offers German language courses for all
levels and all ages.
Children
from 10 years onward can start with the elementary level, and then
proceed to the
intermediate
and advanced levels. There are classes with different textbooks for
teenagers
and
adults. Courses usually take place twice a week from the end of
September until the end
of
May.
For
children under the age of ten, whose parents want to take advantage
of the fact that a
young
child learns a language more easily than older people, the Goethe –
Zentrum offers an
Early
Language Learning program. A teacher especially trained in teaching methods for
very
young
children gives these lessons with play and song and without
pressure. There are two
separate
groups, one for the 4 – 6 year olds, the other one for the ages 7 –
9.
Bilingual
children, who speak German at home, can learn at the Goethe –
Zentrum to read
and
write German and in general deepen their knowledge of the language.
Pre – school
children
can attend the German – speaking Kindergarten, which takes place
once a week.
There
are tailor – made classes available for every need: Preparation for
O – and A – Level,
Business
German and German for Tourism. Also private lessons are given by
teachers of the
Goethe
– Zentrum.
Summer
courses
For
those who don’t have time during the normal school year or want to
progress faster, the
Goethe
– Zentrum offers intensive summer courses for the elementary level
in cool, air –
conditioned
classrooms in a quiet, pleasant environment. A summer school for the
younger
bilingual
children is also available.

end of
June/beginning

Qualified
teachers
The
staff of the Goethe – Zentrum, mostly native Germans, is highly
qualified and keeps up
with
modern teaching methods through regular teachers’ training seminars
both in Germany
and
in Cyprus.
Examinations
By
virtue of its contract with the Goethe – Institut in
Munich,
the Goethe – Zentrum is the only
approved
Examination
Center
for Goethe – Institut Diplomas in
Cyprus:
Start Deutsch 1, Start
Deutsch
2, Zertifikat Deutsch (elementary level), Zentrale
Mittelstufenpruefung (intermediate
level),
Zentrale Oberstufenpruefung and Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom
(advanced level),
even

Since
August 2001, the Goethe – Zentrum Nicosia has been the official
representative for
TestDaF,
the language entrance examination for German universities, which

in their home country. Up to now, a good number of students have
taken this exam here in
Cyprus,
most of them with excellent results.

Corner and Videoclub
A
new feature has been added to the repertoire of the Goethe –
Zentrum:

“Reading Corner” where you can browse through the latest copy of the
big German
newspapers
and magazines, and a Videoclub, equipped with some of the latest
German
feature
films, children’s films and documentaries on a wide range of

Πολιτιστικές
εκδηλώσεις
Καθ'
όλη τη διάρκεια του έτους, το Goethe-Zentrum
Nicosia
οργανώνει πολιτιστικές
εκδηλώσεις,
οι
οποίες δίνουν ιδιαίτερη έμφαση πολιτιστικό διάλογο μεταξύ Κύπρου και
Γερμανίας. Δια τον
λόγο
αυτό, διοργανώνει συναυλίες, διαλέξεις, σεμινάρια και φεστιβάλ
ταινιών πάντοτε σε στενή
συνεργασία
με κύπριους εταίρους, οι οποίοι δραστηριοποιούνται στον πολιτιστικό

είναι το Υπουργείο Παιδείας και Πολιτισμού, το πολιτιστικό τμήμα του

Θεατρικός Οργανισμός Κύπρου και
πολυάριθμοι κύπριοι καλλιτέχνες. Επιπλέον, η
εμβάθυνση

πολιτιστικών σχέσεων μεταξύ διαφόρων Ευρωπαϊκών χωρών είναι για το

πολιτιστικό κέντρο,

Γλωσσικά
προγράμματα σπουδών
Το
Goethe-Zentrum
Nicosia
προσφέρει γερμανικά
γλωσσικά προγράμματα σπουδών για όλα
τα
επίπεδα και όλες τις ηλικίες. Το βασικό επίπεδο είναι δυνατό να
τύχει παρακολούθησης
από
παιδιά ηλικίας 10 χρονών και άνω. Για νέους και ενήλικες
χρησιμοποιούνται διαφορετικά
διδακτικά
εργαλεία για την εκμάθηση της γερμανικής γλώσσας. Τα προγράμματα
φθάνουν
μέχρι
το μέσο και το ανώτερο επίπεδο και λαμβάνουν κανονικά χώρα δύο φορές τη
βδομάδα
από
τα τέλη Σεπτεμβρίου μέχρι και τα τέλη Μαίου.
Για
παιδιά ηλικίας κάτω των 10 χρονών, των οποίων οι γονείς επιθυμούν να
εκμεταλλευτούν
ο
γεγονός ότι τα παιδιά μαθαίνουν πιο εύκολα μια ξένη γλώσσα σε
σύγκριση με τους
μεγάλους,
το Goethe-Zentrum
Nicosia
προσφέρει “ εκμάθηση ξένων γλωσσών σε μικρή
ηλικία”. Μια καθηγήτρια με ειδική
κατάρτιση για τη γλωσσική διδασκαλία σε μικρά παιδιά
είναι
υπεύθυνη
για τα προγράμματα αυτά, στα πλαίσια των οποίων γίνεται χρήση
παιγνιδιών και
τραγουδιών
και δεν ασκείται καθόλου πίεση στους μικρούς. Υπάρχουν ξεχωριστές
ομάδες για
τις
ηλικίες από 4 μέχρι 6 και από 7 μέχρι 9 χρόνων.
Δίγλωσσα
παιδιά, που μιλούν γερμανικά στο σπίτι, έχουν τη δυνατότητα να
μάθουν γραφή και
ανάγνωση
και γενικά να
εμβαθύνουν τις γλωσσικές τους γνώσεις. Παιδιά της
προδημοτικής
ηλικίας
μπορούν να επισκέπτονται το γερμανικό μας νηπιαγωγείο, που λαμβάνει
χώρα μια
φορά
τη βδομάδα.
Υπάρχουν
και άλλα προγράμματα, που είναι προσαρμοσμένα σύμφωνα με τις
εξειδικευμένες
ανάγκες
των φοιτητών που συμμετέχουν, όπως είναι τα προγράμματα
προετοιμασίας για
παρακάθηση
στις εξετάσεις German O
- & A-
Level,
τα γερμανικά για την οικονομία και τα
γερμανικά
για τον τουρισμό. Το Goethe-Zentrum
Nicosia
μεσιτεύει επίσης και για την
εξυπηρέτηση
μαθητών που έχουν ανάγκη από ιδιωτική/ ατομική διδασκαλία.
Θερινά
προγράμματα
Για
εκείνους που κατά τη διάρκεια του κανονικού χρόνου των προγραμμάτων,
δεν έχουν
χρόνο
ή απλά θέλουν να προχωρήσουν πολύ γρήγορα το Goethe- |
