EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO GERMANY AND AUSTRIA APRIL

the support of the Goethe-Zentrum also this
year an educational trip to Germany
and
Austria
is being organized. The trip will take place on
the
19th April – 25th April
2008
with

Accommodation in a 3 star hotel with

The
Airport taxes are not included in the price.
The
visits to several museums and palaces will have to be paid by
everyone there. For food
(one
week) CYP 70-90 will be needed. The hotel is in the centre, the
rooms are equipped
with
TV, heating, bathroom and telephone. For the single room
there is an extra charge of CYP 70,-.
Those
who would like to participate should fill in the attached
declaration form as soon as
possible
and hand it in along with the sum of CYP 50,- as down payment
as part of the
expenses
for the reservation of the hotel rooms and cannot be returned.

PROGRAMME
Saturday,
19th April 2008
Departure
from Larnaca and arrival in Munich. After the accommodation in
the hotel
we
will have a walk in Munich for a first taste of the
city. We will see one of the major
railway
stations in Europe (Hauptbahnhof), the
illuminated City Hall (Rathaus), the
underground (U-Bahn), the biggest “pub”
of Bavaria (Hofbräuhaus), the famous
square
(Marienplatz), the opera
house (Oper), the
theatre (Theater), and a
lot more.
Sunday,
20th April 2008
In
the morning we will visit the famous palace Nymphenburg with the
fantastic gardens
and
swan lakes and in the afternoon, we will visit the Olympic Village.
In
the evening we will eat in a Greek restaurant.
Monday,
21st April
Daytrip
by train to Austria
(Salzburg).
We will visit the castle, Mozart’s home and
other
sights
of the town. In the evening we will eat in a German
restaurant.
Tuesday,
22nd April 2008
Daytrip
by train to the beautiful town Füssen at the foot of the
snowy Alps and visit to
the
famous
palace
of Ludwig II.
Neuschwanstein. In the
evening we will eat in an Italian
restaurant.
Wednesday,
23rd April 2008
Trip
by train to the town Dachau
and visit to the concentration camp.
The afternoon is free. In the
evening we will attend a church service in the Orthodox Church of
Munich.
Thursday,
24th April
2008
Visit
to the fantastic museum Deutsches Museum with the
first aeroplanes, the first trains,
the
first cars and bicycles, Galileo’s telescope and a lot more.
Afterwards we will see the
famous
clock of the City Hall with its figurines that come out and dance,
and the famous
street
market Viktualienmarkt
with its exotic fruits from all over the world. The afternoon is
free.
Friday,
25th April 2008
Visit
to the beautiful palace Residenz and the last
shopping. In the afternoon preparation
for
departure. Arrival in the early morning hours of
Saturday,26th April
2008.

During the trip we will see a lot more sights. The programme is
liable to changes.
